There are a wealth of leisure activities to be found within an hour's drive of the chateau. In nearby Muret there is an aquarium, situated in an 18th century house. In Plaisance du Touche there is an African Safari Park with 450 animals and not far away, there is “Space City” for those who want to experience a Space Odyssey, or visit a planetarium. Nearby, one can visit a reconstructed ancient Gaul village. For those interested in plants and trees, there are a number of botanical walks (Aurignac and Martes-Tolosane) as well as a number of gardens that can be visited. In Rieumes, there is a leisure park for children that offers a full day of games for the family in a natural environment. The canal du Midi is nearby and many people enjoy a short or long journey on the canal or simply follow it by bicycle.

Toulouse, of course, has a wealth of leisure activities to choose from, such as a visit to the European Space Centre, opera, theatre, world-class museums or even a tour of the Airbus factory!
